FAQs

What types of projects do you work on?

I work across a range of audio projects, including music production, mixing and mastering, podcasts, film and video, sound design, dialogue editing, and audio restoration. If you have a project that doesn't fit neatly into one of these categories, feel free to reach out and we can discuss what you need.

How do I get started?

Send me a brief description of your project, what services you're looking for, and any relevant files or references. From there, I can discuss the project with you and provide an estimate based on its scope.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. Most services can be completed remotely, with files exchanged digitally. For recording engineering and other projects requiring an in-person session, availability can be discussed separately.

What do I need to provide for mixing?

For mixing, I typically need the individual tracks or stems from your session, along with any important notes about your vision for the song. Reference tracks are also helpful for communicating the sound you're looking for.

Can you mix a song that someone else recorded or produced?

Absolutely. I can work with existing recordings regardless of who originally recorded or produced them, provided the source material is suitable for mixing.

Can you work with video files?

Yes. For film and video projects, I can work with picture references to edit dialogue, create sound design, edit effects and ambience, and build an audio track that supports the visual material.

How much do your services cost?

Pricing depends on the type, length, complexity, and requirements of each project. Contact me with some information about your project and I can provide a personalized estimate.

How long does a project take?

Turnaround varies depending on the service and scope of the project. Smaller projects may be completed within a few days, while larger productions can require more time. I’ll provide an estimated turnaround when discussing your project.

Do you offer revisions?

Yes. Projects include an agreed-upon revision process so that we can make adjustments and ensure the finished work is heading in the right direction.

What file formats do you accept?

I can work with most common professional audio formats, including WAV and AIFF. For specific projects, I’ll provide instructions for exporting and organizing your files to make the process as straightforward as possible.

Can I book multiple services for the same project?

Absolutely. Many projects benefit from combining services, for example recording, production, mixing, and mastering for a song, or dialogue editing and sound design for a film. We can build a workflow around what your project needs.

Can you clean up difficult dialogue/podcast recordings?

Often, yes. I can reduce background noise, hum, room tone, clicks, and other distractions and repair certain recording problems. The results depend on the quality and condition of the original recording.
