ABOUT ME

My name is Rob Hochstetter, and I’m a young musician, producer, and audio engineer, based in both the D.C. area and Raleigh, NC areas, just starting out in my freelance journey! I graduated in 2025 with a B.A. in Philosophy & Music from the College of William and Mary, and have been working for the past year as a live audio/visual technician. My approach to audio is grounded both in my technical experience, as well as shaped by my philosophy background. I think about sound in both abstract, fundamental terms as well as its practical ends. By bringing this to my projects, I am constantly focused not only on technical polish, but on ensuring that from start to finish, sound succeeds as a unique creative tool that is shaped to achieve its purpose, whatever that may be.
